Truncus Wealth

Overview

Truncus Wealth was started in late 2001 as VGD Family Office within the VGD accountancy and audit group founded by Hugo Van Geet, and is based in Zele, East Flanders. It describes itself as a multidisciplinary family office advising wealthy families, entrepreneurs and institutions on financial, tax, legal and administrative matters, with its own wealth management department. As family officer it monitors about 250 external portfolios across some 15 countries, and it promotes the Truncus Investment Fund and a private equity fund that invests in a portfolio of private equity funds.

Investment thesis

Selects concentrated, niche-focused managers who co-invest in their own funds and have long-term track records; builds client portfolios by combining specialist managers in line with each risk profile.
