ABOUT
Italian Angels for Biotech (IAB) is an association of entrepreneurs, managers, physicians and scientists with experience in the life sciences, chaired by its founder Luca Benatti. Startups apply online and selected projects pitch at four IAB Elevator Pitch events a year; each member decides independently whether to proceed to due diligence and invest, and the association itself is not involved from that step. Its site cites 50+ members and €1.8M+ in co-investment rounds. In April 2022 it signed an alliance with Turin’s Club degli Investitori to share investments and analysis; joint deals include MgShell and Metis Precision Medicine.
