Overview

IMA Participations is the investment vehicle of Groupe IMA, a Niort-based assistance company whose shareholders include the mutual insurers Macif, Maif and Matmut. Created in 2018 under the group’s 2018–2020 strategic plan, it invests directly in seed and Series A startups in mobility, health, home and customer relations, with average tickets of €500–700k and up to €1M in total per company. Each investment must be sponsored by an internal business line and paired with a commercial or operational partnership. In July 2026 it held nine companies (seven French, one Spanish, one Portuguese), including The Treep, Carbookr, Urban Fisio and Finovox.

Investment thesis

Direct early-stage stakes in startups that serve IMA’s assistance businesses (mobility, home, health and well-being, operational performance), each backed by an internal business sponsor and a commercial partnership; financial return is secondary.
