Overview
Efanor Investimentos, SGPS is the holding in which the undivided estate of Sonae founder Belmiro de Azevedo (d. 2017) is concentrated, shared by his children Nuno, Paulo and Cláudia Azevedo. Per Sonae SGPS's 2025 governance report, 53.03% of Sonae SGPS is attributable to Efanor, 10.01% held directly and 42.48% through its subsidiary Pareuro, BV. In 2020 Efanor launched takeover bids for Sonae Capital and Sonae Indústria, delisting both, and it has owned 100% of Sonae Indústria since August 2021. Forbes Portugal reports it also holds real estate and farming companies such as Casa Agrícola de Ambrães.
