Overview

Maus Frères SA was founded in 1902 when Léon Nordmann and Ernest and Henri Maus opened a department store in Lucerne. Run by four generations of the Maus and Nordmann families, it has grown into a group of retail chains and brands in Switzerland and abroad, including Manor and, through MF Brands Group, Lacoste, Gant, Aigle and Tecnifibre. Its statutes require the chairman and some board members to come from the two families, while operational management is entrusted to an external CEO.
