Overview

Vulpes Investment Management describes itself as an alternative investment manager designed to replicate a family office structure and enable outside co-investment, with its own capital anchoring all investments; Stephen Diggle's profile calls it a family office backed investment manager. It grew out of Artradis Fund Management, the Singapore hedge fund Stephen Diggle co-founded in 2002, which was renamed Vulpes in 2011. Its strategies include a UK life sciences fund, venture capital through Vulpes Ventures, fundamental equities (Allium funds), New Zealand agriculture, German residential real estate (Stronghold Capital) and a tail-risk fund. Vulpes Ventures runs two venture funds, the Special Opportunities Fund (from June 2020) and Fund V3 (from September 2021), and says it led the seed round of PropertyGuru and took part in the Series A of Trax.

Investment thesis

Vulpes Ventures is sector agnostic and invests from seed to Series B in startups across Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand, reserving capital for follow-on rounds.
