ABOUT
Veneto Sviluppo S.p.A. was established in 1975 under regional law 47/1975 and has been wholly owned by the Veneto region since its bank shareholders exited in September 2023. It acts as a holding of shareholdings and as an investment company, taking risk-capital stakes in companies with its own resources or on regional mandate, including turnarounds such as Maschio Gaspardo (EUR 15M in 2019–2021), and subscribing SME debt through the Fondo Veneto Minibond. Under regional law 14/2023 it heads a group with Veneto Innovazione, which manages the region's subsidised-finance instruments, and FVS SGR, a wholly owned private equity manager investing in north-east Italian SMEs.
