ABOUT

Fondaco SGR is an independent Turin asset-management company dedicated to institutional and non-profit investors, set up in 2002 by Compagnia di San Paolo, Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Padova e Rovigo and Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio in Bologna with Ersel, later joined by Fondazione CRC and Fondazione Roma. It manages reserved funds — mainly multi-asset, bond and hedge-fund portfolios — and, through its Luxembourg subsidiary Fondaco Lux, private-markets vehicles: the Fondaco Global Private Markets Fund, which gives Italian institutions exposure to international private equity and venture capital managers, and the Fondaco Italian Loans Portfolio Fund, advised by CarVal Investors. It launched its first private equity fund, Fondaco Lux International PE Fund, in 2013.
