Overview

Hivest Capital Partners is an independent private equity firm authorised by the AMF, founded in late 2016 by Axel Bonnassies and Cédric Lépée. It buys family-owned companies and non-core divisions of large groups, and backs capital increases, in French and European companies with €50M–€500M revenue, investing €10M–€100M per deal. Its first fund closed at €120M (2017) and Hivest II at its €300M hard cap (2022); in January 2025 it set up a first continuation fund for Agora Makers, bringing funds under management to €900M.

Investment thesis

Majority or reference minority positions in companies with €50M–€500M revenue, sound market fundamentals and recognised know-how but unrealised potential: family-business successions, corporate carve-outs, growth capital increases and situations needing a fast, flexible investor; all sectors; €10M–€100M per deal.
