Overview
AdBio Partners, founded in Paris in 2016 as Advent France Biotechnology, is an AMF-authorised venture capital firm (GP-16000008) specialised in early-stage life sciences. It combines seed financing with company building, co-founding therapeutics startups with scientific founders and technology transfer offices and sometimes acting as interim management. With its first two funds it built a portfolio of about 30 companies across Europe (28 investments in France, Belgium, Spain and Germany as of October 2025), in areas including oncology, immunology, ophthalmology and rare diseases. In September 2026 it opened a Montreal office alongside the launch of its third fund, backed by the Fonds de solidarité FTQ, the European Investment Fund and Bpifrance’s National Seed Fund 3.

Seed-stage therapeutics company creation from academic research: first- or best-in-class programmes with high unmet medical need (oncology, immunology, ophthalmology, rare, neurological and cardio-renal-metabolic diseases); hands-on company building with scientific founders and tech transfer offices in Europe and, from 2026, Quebec; AndzonBio “pipeline builder” companies with Inserm Transfert.
