Claris Ventures SGR is a Turin asset management company registered with the Banca d'Italia as an AIF manager, founded in 2019 by Pietro Puglisi and Ciro Spedaliere. It invests exclusively in companies developing new medicines, from company formation through early clinical development, either backing existing companies or co-creating new ones around academic research. Its first fund, Claris Biotech I (launched September 2020), financed ten companies; Claris Biotech II held a first close in April 2025 with CDP Venture Capital and the EIF, targeting €100M. Parallel funds co-invest in Italian and Lombardy companies.
