Overview

XGEN Venture SGR S.p.A. is an Italian alternative investment fund manager established in 2021 by the former Genextra team. It makes early-stage investments in private research and development companies in biotechnology, medical devices and diagnostics. The team invests out of its first fund, XGEN Venture Life Science Fund, launched at the end of 2022, whose final closing at about €180M was announced in December 2024; it also continues to advise Genextra's board on the management of Genextra's portfolio.
