Overview
Decathlon Pulse is the Decathlon Group’s global investment team and startup studio, created as a subsidiary in 2024 to build new companies, take stakes in innovative companies and acquire sports brands and retailers. It focuses on expert sports brands, e-commerce pioneers, the circular economy and next-generation sport, and continues the roughly €400 million that Decathlon says it invested in startups and acquisitions from 2018, including majority stakes in Alltricks and Bergfreunde. Recent operations include Rebike Mobility (2024), the lead commitment in OSS Ventures’ new fund (2026) and VoltR, a battery remanufacturer (October 2026).
Investment thesis
Builds, invests in and acquires companies that complement Decathlon’s strategy in four areas: expert sports brands prioritising decarbonisation and circularity; e-commerce players distributing specialist sporting goods; the circular economy (reuse, rental, repair, recycling, recycled and bio-based materials); and next-generation sport technologies. Portfolio companies stay independent, with optional synergies with Decathlon.
