Overview
SCOR P&C Ventures launched in autumn 2017, followed by an L&H Ventures team; in August 2022 SCOR combined the two mandates into a single SCOR Ventures practice investing across all (re)insurance lines. It backs seed to Series B companies in three themes: tech-driven underwriters and distributors (MGAs, carriers), software useful to SCOR and its clients, and health-tech, typically seeking more than 5% ownership at first investment. In October 2025 SCOR, through its vehicle SV One SAS, became a reference shareholder of the French credit insurer Cartan Trade.
Investment thesis
Seed to Series B; ‘insurers of the future’ (MGAs, carriers), software that benefits SCOR and its clients, and companies that help people live healthier lives; >5% first-check ownership, often with a board seat; global, focused on North America, EMEA and LATAM.
