Overview
Batipart is a family-owned investment group founded in 1988 by Charles Ruggieri, run from Batipart Invest S.C.A. in Luxembourg and fully controlled by the Ruggieri family. It works in real estate, hotels and tourism across Europe, Africa and North America, usually as majority or reference shareholder alongside institutional partners and other families, and reports EUR 4.5 billion of assets under management. Its holdings include about 80% of the African hotel group ONOMO (co-founded 2009) and Parc Oméga in Québec; it earlier held stakes in Foncière des Régions (sold 2010), Korian (sold 2016) and Eurosic (sold to Gecina in 2017). In April 2026 Batipart Europe and partners acquired the Pullman Paris Tour Eiffel hotel.
Investment thesis
Four investment principles: family ownership and governance, acting as an entrepreneur and operator rather than a passive investor, always investing with partners (institutions and other families) while usually holding majority or reference positions, and diversification across sectors, risk types and locations.
