Overview

Compagnie Lebon traces its origins to the gas-lighting concession Charles Lebon obtained in Dieppe in 1835; it has been listed in Paris since 1854 and controlled by the Lebon and Lebon Paluel-Marmont family throughout. After the 1946 nationalisation of gas and electricity it became a holding investing in industrial, commercial and financial holdings, created CDME (later Rexel, sold 1987) and Paluel-Marmont Capital. Today it operates boutique hotels (Esprit de France) and thermal spas, and invests through the Paluel-Marmont Investissement platform, where it is the first investor in each operation alongside a club of more than 350 business owners. Its Paluel-Marmont Capital arm, AMF-approved, reports €100m under management and also handles investments in third-party funds; PMV structures real-estate club deals in which Compagnie Lebon takes 25–50%.
