CURA Vermögensverwaltung (Kommanditgesellschaft CURA Vermögensverwaltung G.m.b.H. & Co.) is a Hamburg holding company of the Otto family and the owner of the ECE Group, which develops, lets and operates large commercial properties and is led by Alexander Otto. In May 2022 Deutsche EuroShop AG signed an investor agreement with Hercules BidCo, jointly controlled by Oaktree affiliates and the CURA KG, which the company described as ultimately controlled by Alexander Otto, for a public takeover offer valuing Deutsche EuroShop at about €1.4bn; Hercules BidCo now holds 77.2% of the shares. Alexander Otto is the youngest son of Werner Otto, founder of the Hamburg mail-order company.
