FAMCORP began in 1975 as the Faisal AlMatrook Establishment, a concrete manufacturer in Bahrain, and expanded into building materials, plant hire, precast, steel fabrication and industrial gases, including operations in Dubai from 1987. Its holding and investment arm was renamed FAMCORP in 2013 and says it holds major stakes in numerous companies across sectors and countries, through private equity investments, strategic partnerships and direct ownership. Directly owned companies include Arcadian Investment (its UAE industrial holdings vehicle, founded 2022), Ossis Real Estate Development, Amwaj Marina, Kingdom Group, Nuetel Telecommunications and several hotels. It has offices on Amwaj Islands, Bahrain, and in DIFC, Dubai.
