Overview
VKR Holding A/S is the Danish holding and investment company of the VKR Group, founded in 1941 by Villum Kann Rasmussen, inventor of the VELUX roof window. It owns the VELUX Group (roof windows and skylights) and the DOVISTA Group (vertical windows and doors), and runs a portfolio of listed equities, fixed income, credit, real assets and private equity funds, largely through external managers. The VILLUM Foundation holds just over 90% of the B shares; control via the A shares passed in September 2024 to third-generation family members Jens and Mads Kann-Rasmussen. In 2021 it set up the independent venture capital fund KOMPAS VC as cornerstone investor.
