Overview
The Rechtsanwaltsversorgungswerk Niedersachsen (RVN) is a public-law body set up with effect from 1 April 1982 to provide old-age, disability and survivors' pensions for lawyers admitted in the Braunschweig, Celle and Oldenburg chamber districts. It is funded by the open coverage-plan method, and its investments stood at €2.709bn book value at end-2025 with a 4.6% net return. At 31 December 2025 its asset mix was 41.5% bonds, 24.9% real estate, 15.8% equities, 14.7% private equity and 3.1% cash. RVN and the Hanseatische Rechtsanwaltsversorgung Bremen are to merge on 1 January 2027 as the Rechtsanwaltsversorgungswerk Niedersachsen/Bremen, under RVN's statutes.
