Overview

Amethis was founded in 2012 by Luc Rigouzzo and Laurent Demey, both formerly of Proparco, in partnership with Edmond de Rothschild Private Equity, of which it is a partner member. It runs three strategies: Small & Mid Caps Africa, Small Caps North Africa & Middle East, and Small Caps Europe, taking majority or minority stakes. Its funds are managed by Amethis Investment Fund Manager S.A., a Luxembourg AIFM regulated by the CSSF and owned by the partners. The firm reports €1.4bn raised and more than 50 companies invested since 2012, with seven offices in Paris, Luxembourg, Abidjan, Nairobi, Casablanca, Cairo and Cape Town.
