ABOUT

Breizh Invest PME is a Breton investment company that takes minority stakes, in equity and convertible bonds, in SMEs of Brittany for transmission and buyout deals and for internal and external growth, with tickets of up to €500k alone or with co-investors. It was launched in 2003 as Bretagne Jeunes Entreprises to support seed and start-up companies, later refocused on SME transmission and development capital, and took its current name in 2019. Its capital (€7.4M) is held 53.2% by four regional banks and 46.8% by the Région Bretagne and Bpifrance, and a panel of Breton entrepreneurs sits on its investment committee.

INVESTMENT THESIS

Keep decision centres in Brittany and support jobs by backing management buy-ins/buy-outs and growth projects of Breton SMEs as a minority, long-term shareholder alongside the entrepreneur.
