Overview

FIEE SGR S.p.A. (formerly Fondo Italiano per l'Efficienza Energetica SGR) was founded in 2014 to launch Italy's first private equity fund dedicated to the energy transition for professional investors, and was authorised by the Bank of Italy in 2015. It manages three closed-end alternative investment funds: Fund I (2016, €166m), Fund II (2020, €201m) and Energy Transition Fund III (2025, €280m raised as of December 2025, SFDR Article 9). Its funds take majority and minority stakes in energy efficiency, renewable generation, HVACR, storage, energy communities and biomethane companies in Italy and Spain.

Become the first institutional investor in scalable energy-transition platforms (energy efficiency, renewables and storage, circular economy, self-consumption and energy communities, green gases) and grow them through governance, consolidation and international expansion; Fund III widens the perimeter from Italy to other European countries.
