Overview
March Private Equity, SGEIC, S.A. is the private equity manager of Banca March, registered with the CNMV in July 2020. It runs the March PE Global fund-of-funds programmes, which commit to international, mainly US and European mid-market buyout and growth funds, plus a co-investment fund and a secondaries fund (March PE Secundarios I, FCR, per CNMV). The vehicles are sold only to Banca March clients, with the Banca March group investing alongside them. Its director general said in March 2025 that it managed €1bn; its track-record page (undated) now states more than €1.15bn across five products, more than 50 underlying GPs and over 400 underlying companies.
Investment thesis
Fund-of-funds investing at least 65% in primary international private equity funds, complemented by secondaries and direct or indirect co-investments; mainly buyout and growth funds with moderate leverage, a minority allocation to venture capital, and at least 80% in the US and Europe. Each programme targets 12–15 underlying funds over about 10 years.
