Overview
MBO+ is an independent Paris management company that has backed French SMEs and mid-caps since 2002, focusing on companies valued between €20M and €200M. Its platform has three strategies: Buyout (majority LBOs of companies valued €20M–€150M, tickets of €10M–€45M), Buy & Build (a continuation vehicle for Caddenz and Osmaïa) and Flex (minority, low-dilution financing, launched in 2024 after a first close of about €100M). In April 2025 a management buyout left 80% of the firm’s capital with its employees and 20% with historical shareholder Ofi Invest; the firm said it would launch MBO Buyout 6 in 2026. Recent deals include Logtrans (July 2025, via MBO Buyout 5) and SYXPERIANE (June 2025, via MBO Flex).
Investment thesis
Backs managers and entrepreneurs of French SMEs valued €20M–€200M: majority LBOs, buy-and-build platforms with European acquisition plans, and minority Flex financing for organic growth, acquisitions or shareholder reorganisations while preserving governance.
