Overview
White Summit Capital was founded in 2011 by Gonzalo López Medina and invests in mid-market energy-transition infrastructure companies in Western Europe across reliable energy, sustainable transportation and decarbonisation of industry. Its Spanish manager, White Summit Capital Management SGEIC, S.A.U., is a wholly owned subsidiary of Zug-based White Summit Capital AG and was entered in the CNMV register in July 2022. It manages the Luxembourg-domiciled WSC Decarbonisation Infrastructure Fund II (WDIF-II), which held a first close above €350m in January 2025 with the European Investment Fund as cornerstone investor. The firm says it has deployed over €2bn since 2011.
Investment thesis
Initial acquisition of infrastructure-backed platforms with management teams and proven technologies, followed by growth and repurposing capex; about 8–10 companies per fund in reliable energy, sustainable transportation and decarbonisation of demand.
