Overview
Como Venture S.r.l. was set up in 2009 on the initiative of Sviluppo Como, the Como Chamber of Commerce's development company, and is owned by leading Como entrepreneurs together with Sviluppo Como – ComoNExT. It takes medium- to long-term equity stakes in technology start-ups and innovative SMEs, mainly in the Como area and in synergy with the ComoNExT innovation hub. Since inception it has made 11 investments totalling €3.3M, with €1.2M of realisations, funded by about €3.8M of shareholder capital and loans (2023 accounts). It has no employees; its board members serve without pay.
Investment thesis
Innovation, development and technology-transfer projects that lead to patentable industrial products, supporting new technology-based companies in the Como area.
