ABOUT
Industrio Ventures describes itself as Italy's first hardware accelerator and as a fully private company, based at the Polo Meccatronica in Rovereto. It invests in product startups with at least two founders in fields such as mechatronics, Industry 4.0, robotics, biotech, agri-tech and smart mobility, offering a cash-plus-services package and a six-month acceleration period. It makes up to three to five investments a year and takes up to 15% of the share capital, holding until it exits.
INVESTMENT THESIS
Hardware and product startups in sectors where Italian industry is strong (automation and mechatronics, robotics, digital manufacturing, new automotive and smart transportation, biotech, agri-tech), brought to market within about six months.
