ABOUT
Les Business Angels des Grandes Écoles (BADGE) is a non-profit association, recognised as of general interest, created in 2004 by alumni associations of French grandes écoles and based at the Maison des Polytechniciens in Paris. Its members invest their own money in mainly technology start-ups after a validation committee, an online selection committee, instruction by a member who commits to invest, and a monthly plenary pitch; some invest through member-owned SIBA vehicles. It reports about 300 members, around 25 start-ups financed a year, an average of €200,000 per round and more than €60M invested since its first investment in 2005.
