WHAT IT IS

Corporate VC. A corporation investing from its own balance sheet, usually with strategic goals.

ABOUT

Credem's corporate venture capital programme was launched in April 2021 to take equity stakes in startups and fintechs of strategic relevance to the Credem group. Rather than a separate fund, it is a board-approved process with a budget of several million euros; deals are screened by an investment team in the group's innovation unit, approved by an investment committee of management and board members, and executed through the group company Credemtel. At the end of March 2026 the group reported 53 direct investments and a collaboration network of 63 startups.

INVESTMENT THESIS

Mainly early-stage and pre-seed startups and fintechs with industrial relevance for the bank, e.g. instant lending, wealth management, supply-chain cybersecurity and digital services for businesses.
