Overview
Inditex, the Zara owner, takes minority stakes in startups linked to its Sustainability Innovation Hub, an open-innovation platform for new materials, technologies and processes. It entered Circ (textile recycling) in 2022 and Infinited Fiber in March 2024. In 2024 it reportedly entrusted Mundi Ventures with a €50 million corporate venture capital fund; its first investment was Galy (lab-grown cotton), followed by Epoch and THEKER Robotics.
Investment thesis
Equity stakes in startups whose technologies support Inditex’s sustainability roadmap — new and recycled fibres, textile recycling, circularity — and, more recently, industrial automation used in its operations.
