ESAS Holding

Overview

ESAS was set up in 2000 by Şevket Sabancı and his family and calls itself one of the leading Turkish family investment holding companies, with offices in Istanbul, London and Frankfurt. It runs its own private equity, real estate, venture capital and private credit teams, investing from its own balance sheet as anchor investor in all offerings, and provides wealth management through its subsidiary ESAS Asset and Wealth Management. Its Turkish holdings include Pegasus Airlines (since 2005, partially exited), Ayakkabı Dünyası, Getir, OPLOG and Flormar; internationally it co-invests alongside private equity sponsors.

Investment thesis

In Türkiye, buyout and growth investments in cash-generative mid- to large-sized companies; internationally, co-investments alongside private equity funds, family offices and institutions in developed markets, flexible on deal size and holding period.
