Overview

MADAUS Capital Partners is a Munich family office founded in 2003 by Veit M. Madaus and Peter G. Klose and still owned by its founding shareholders and partners. It rests on three pillars: family-office services (structuring, consolidation and controlling of wealth), direct entrepreneurial investments and wealth management. Through MADAUS Private Equity it lets private investors build their own holding portfolio deal by deal via co-investments and club deals, mostly buy-and-build platforms; it reports 29 current holdings, about 6 new transactions a year, 19 exits and a 20% p.a. target return. The partners say they invest clients' money the same way as their own.

Investment thesis

Value-oriented private-equity holdings with high return potential and manageable holding periods, typically buy-and-build consolidation of fragmented markets, offered to private investors deal by deal alongside the partners' own capital.
