Overview

Palm Ventures is a family investment office founded by Bradley Palmer, active since 1992 in private investments, buyouts, early-stage companies and charitable giving. It says it has acquired 65 mature companies, 30 of them as add-ons, and sold 18 of its 35 platform companies. Through Palm Venture Studios it provides "second chance" capital and operating support to early-stage startups that have struggled to raise further funding, and reports stakes in more than 25 of them. Its holdings include DeVry University, acquired in 2018 through its subsidiary Cogswell Education, and Precision Nutrition, whose assets a Palm Ventures affiliate bought in July 2025; a release on that deal describes Palm as a single-family office investment firm in Greenwich, Connecticut.

Investment thesis

Starts from a "theory of change" for a societal problem and invests patient family capital in companies that address it, often by optimizing or pivoting mature or early-stage companies. It says it is agnostic as to industry sector and business stage; its stated current focus includes education, health and nutrition, financial equity and sustainability.
