BID Equity advises the BID Equity funds, which invest exclusively in European B2B software companies and build market-leading software groups through buy-and-build strategies, mainly in the DACH region. The group lists entities in Hamburg (BID Equity Solutions GmbH, BID Equity GmbH, BID Equity Investment Advisory GmbH), Luxembourg (BID Equity S.à r.l.) and Switzerland (BID Equity Suisse AG); Dr. Helge Hofmeister describes himself as one of its three co-founders. BID Equity Fund II closed at its €125M hard cap in 2019, Overflow Fund II at €50M in 2021, and Fund III at its €310M hard cap in July 2023 with a broad institutional investor base and Hauck & Aufhäuser as AIFM. In June 2025 it closed the €300M BID Equity Continuation Fund I, led by Five Arrows Secondary Opportunities with StepStone as co-lead and managed by Avega Capital Management as AIFM.
