Overview
LHI Gruppe was founded in 1973 as a leasing company and describes itself as a structured-finance and investment boutique working in real estate, renewable energy and infrastructure. Its investment business is bundled in LHI Kapitalverwaltungsgesellschaft mbH, an external KVG authorised by BaFin on 12 August 2014 to issue and manage closed-ended Spezial-AIFs and retail AIFs in real estate, renewables and aviation. LHI reports EUR 11.6bn of investment vehicles launched and EUR 5.6bn of equity raised to date, with renewables vehicles of about EUR 2.1bn across 37 wind farms, 80 solar parks and 11 hydro plants (1,277 MW/MWp). Its Regionergy infrastructure fund, with Versicherungskammer and VGH Versicherungen as lead investors (announced July 2026), targets EUR 250-500m of equity for energy-transition partnerships with Stadtwerke.
Investment thesis
