Motion Equity Partners is a Paris mid-market private equity manager that backs French SMEs and mid-caps aiming to become national and international champions through organic growth and acquisitions. The firm, previously Cognetas, spun out of Electra Partners in 2005 and was renamed Motion Equity Partners in 2012, when it closed its London and Frankfurt offices. It states more than €1.2bn under management and a team that has worked together for over 20 years, led by Managing Partner Patrick Eisenchteter.
