Overview
Sancus Capital is a Madrid investment firm created in March 2021 by partners with backgrounds in renewable energy, real estate and venture capital in Spain and Mexico; its SGEIC was registered with the CNMV in April 2021. It manages Sancus Green Investments I and II SCR, set up with Santander Asset Management to channel Mexican capital into ready-to-build Spanish solar and wind projects, and Decelera Ventures I FCR, an impact seed fund. Sancus Hotels, of which Borja Escalada is partner and CEO, owns the Rosewood Villa Magna and Bless Madrid hotels (acquired November 2022), and in June 2026 agreed to buy about 53.5% of the hotel SOCIMI Hotei Properties. The firm is led by Borja Escalada.

Renewables: utility-scale solar PV and wind projects in Spain and Portugal that already hold permits and grid connection (no development risk), financed with equity or moderate leverage and selling power mainly on the wholesale market. Venture: impact seed investments in Southern European startups via Decelera.
