Overview
Trajan Capital was co-founded in 2018 by Thomas Duteil and Tanguy Tauzinat, both formerly of Andera’s mid-cap team, to finance capital and managerial successions of SMEs. Each deal starts with a selected entrepreneur-buyer, who takes over a company with at least €10m of sales and €2m EBITDA through an MBI, MBO, BIMBO, spin-off or carve-out. Since 2019 it has partnered with the Edmond de Rothschild group: its fund, Transmission et Croissance I, is managed by Edmond de Rothschild Private Equity (France) and advised by Trajan Investment Advisor. It has offices in Paris and Brussels.
Investment thesis
Capital and managerial succession of profitable, cash-generative European SMEs with recurring revenue and acquisition opportunities, led by an entrepreneur-buyer selected and backed by Trajan; generalist, majority or minority stakes.
