Overview
Kalonia Venture Partners (KVP) invests in early-stage B2B fintech companies in Latin America, or in founders planning to move their business there, with Mexico as a priority market. Its partners were founders or shareholders of Latinia, a Barcelona banking-software company founded in 1999. KVP invested as an LP in regional funds from 2017 and began investing directly as a VC in 2019. Its first fund, KVP I, is evergreen: part of exit proceeds is reinvested and part distributed to its limited partners.
Investment thesis
B2B fintech selling to financial institutions — banking software, SME accounting, payments, blockchain infrastructure, factoring marketplaces, alternative scoring, lending-as-a-service, insurtech, regtech, proptech and open finance — at pre-revenue to early stages, with Mexico as origin or destination.
