ABOUT
Crédit Mutuel Equity groups all private-equity activities of Crédit Mutuel Alliance Fédérale and states that it invests its own capital (fonds propres) rather than through closed-end funds. It runs three business lines: Capital Innovation (venture, tickets €1–20M, about 50 holdings), Capital Développement (minority growth, tickets €5–150M, about 200 holdings) and Capital Transmission (majority buyouts, tickets €5–150M, about 100 holdings). It reports around 350 holdings, about 90 investment professionals and offices in France, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland and Canada. It traces its roots to IPO (Nantes, 1980), Banque de Vizille (Lyon, 1988) and CIC Finance (2004), merged in 2011 as CM-CIC Investissement and renamed Crédit Mutuel Equity in 2019.
