Overview

VCMint is the family office of Aditya Vuchi and Neelima Marupuru, co-founders of MediaMint, the ad-operations company that Aditya Vuchi took to an exit with Everstone Capital and Recognize in 2023; MediaMint's proceeds fund VCMint. It invests only its own money (no LPs) from Hyderabad, the Bay Area and Singapore, and says it has backed 68 companies across seven countries, about half of them in India. In India it typically writes USD 75,000 to 250,000 cheques into Series A or B rounds, usually following another lead; outside India its cheques are smaller and earlier, often alongside syndicates. It also started and runs Upzy, a members' club for gig workers in Hyderabad, and Aditya Vuchi set up the non-profit CDSW.

Investment thesis

Invests its own money with no fund cycle, usually as a follower rather than a lead, in founders who lived the problem, with unit economics that work from day one, a sharp wedge and eighteen months of runway; part of its capital is reserved for follow-ons in existing companies.
