Overview
VM Capital GmbH (VMCap) was founded in July 2000 by Dr. Helmut Vorndran as Ventizz Capital Partners AG, which raised five private equity funds before the fund business was wound down in the second half of the 2010s. It now describes itself as the family office of the Vorndran-Sattelberger family and says it invests exclusively its shareholders' own funds across company holdings, infrastructure projects and real estate, with assets under management of more than EUR 400 million. Its core holding is the Thomas-Krenn group (server maker, with EXTRA Computer); in July 2025 it sold its stakes in QSIL SE and Ibykus AG.
Investment thesis
Mid-cap technology buyouts, preferably majority positions, in profitable DACH companies (Benelux and Nordics opportunistically) with buy-and-build potential, in manufacturing, ICT and cleantech.
