Overview
The Paris Region Venture Fund (PRVF, first named FRCI) is a SAS created in 2011 by the Région Île-de-France, its sole shareholder, to take equity and quasi-equity stakes in young innovative Île-de-France companies at seed stage, alongside co-investors. Its capital, €6M at creation, reached close to €50M by end-2022, funded equally by the Region and the European Regional Development Fund, across two investment programmes (€17M for 2011–2017, €33M for 2018–2023). Since 2011 it has invested €43M in 47 start-ups; 23 were still in portfolio in 2025. The second programme’s investment period closed on 30 September 2023, and the fund now only makes follow-on investments and exits.
