FundBox is a Portuguese alternative investment manager whose brand was launched in 2004; its management company Fundbox SGOIC, S.A. has been registered with the CMVM (no. 352) since July 2012 and has registered 56 funds since inception, eighteen of which remain active. Assets under management were approximately €600M at 31 December 2025, 75% in real estate funds and 25% in private equity funds. Since 2004 its professionals have raised more than €750M, executed around 780 transactions and paid out over €260M to investors. The firm works in property, private equity, professional sports and passion investments (contemporary art, classic cars, wine), and states that founder Rui Alpalhão co-invests alongside clients through FundBox Holdings. Its private equity vintages of 2021-2025 include the early-stage IRC - Innovation, Research & Creativity fund (SIFIDE-eligible R&D companies), Transcontinental Growth Ventures, Portugal Panorama Fund, Hotel Invest Fund, Tagilde Capital, Wheels and New Frontiers Energy Fund 2; the Coimbra Viva urban-regeneration fund is listed on Euronext.
