Overview

OCCTE is a portfolio management company authorised by the AMF in August 2022, created in 2021 as a continuation of the investment activity of the Occitanie regional energy-climate agency (AREC Occitanie), whose SEM it is a subsidiary of. Its OCCIGEN fund (€104M including a €75M European Investment Fund commitment under InvestEU) takes minority equity positions of €3M–€20M in energy-transition infrastructure and companies in France. OCCIDEV Impacts, launched in Q4 2024 with a €50M target, invests €1.5M–€5M in about 20 development and late-stage companies across six sectors. In May 2024 it announced that Groupe Magellim would become its first private shareholder (minority) and a fund subscriber, subject to regulatory approval.

Investment thesis

OCCIGEN: 15–20 mostly greenfield operations in renewable power, flexibility and storage, EV charging, renewable heat and decarbonisation, or equity in energy-transition developers, focused on France with an Occitanie base. OCCIDEV Impacts: development and late-stage capital for companies in agrifood, health, digital, energy transition, industry and services, and environmental solutions.
