Overview

Palladio Partners was founded in 2012 by Dr. Bernd Kreuter and the late Michael Rieder (died 2024) and is an owner-managed private markets boutique with about 100 staff and nine partners. It builds managed accounts, funds and funds of funds in infrastructure, private equity and private debt, mainly for German pension institutions such as insurers, Pensionskassen and Versorgungswerke, as well as banks, church bodies and foundations, and also invests directly in German infrastructure, where about a third of the money it manages or advises is invested. It reports €11.3bn of assets under management as of 30 June 2026, including advisory mandates; in the twelve months to June 2026 it closed about €1.2bn of commitments for the Rotonda Transformation D infrastructure fund, a Railpool continuation vehicle and the VAPEAP private equity fund of funds.

Investment thesis

Global private markets access tailored to German institutional investors: infrastructure across all sectors (greenfield and brownfield, primaries, secondaries, co-investments and directs), small and specialised private equity managers, and differentiated private debt strategies from senior direct lending to distressed debt.
