Overview

Next Tier Ventures is a venture capital firm co-founded by general partners Patricia Pastor and Rubén Colomer that invests in early-stage B2B startups where artificial intelligence is the core of the product. In December 2024 it partnered with the GVC Gaesco financial group to launch a line of venture funds; the first, Next Tier GVC Gaesco SCR, was approved by the CNMV with a target of up to €50m and 30–35 investments, raised mainly from family offices and private investors. The vehicle is formally managed by GVC Gaesco Alternative Investments SGEIC, whose staff sit on the Next Tier team, and the Spanish public entity SETT is a shareholder under the Recovery Plan. Its portfolio page lists investments from March 2025 to May 2026.

Investment thesis

Invests exclusively in AI-driven early-stage B2B startups — AI infrastructure, vertical solutions (healthcare, fintech, cybersecurity, education) and B2B platforms — in Europe, North America and Latin America, prioritising validated products and experienced founding teams.
