Scientifica S.p.A., founded in 2022, is an investment holding that turns scientific results into companies through three business units: Scientifica Venture Capital, Scientifica Lab (proprietary and affiliated laboratories) and Scientifica Academy. Its venture unit invests in deep-tech start-ups in advanced manufacturing, smart materials, AI, biotech and quantum, offering lab access under a “Capex Zero” model. After a first generalist deep-tech vehicle with 21 investments, it launched Quantum Italia with Quantonation and, with CDP Venture Capital, the SophIA AI and cybersecurity technology transfer hub (€27.5M initial allocation, announced 23 September 2026). In December 2024 it announced Scientifica Fund 1, a planned €200M fund.
