Overview
Asterion Ventures, published by Asterion Impact SAS in Paris, has led investments since 2021 and calls itself a community VC: its team leads pre-seed and seed rounds and structures each investment through a dedicated vehicle (SPV) in which around forty of its 900 private investors (entrepreneurs, executives and investor families) put their own capital. In December 2025 it reported more than €60M deployed into 28 European startups and one exit (Aktio, sold to Apave); its portfolio page now counts 35 companies. It focuses on energy transition, industrial decarbonisation and new materials, agritech and food, and AI as a transition enabler.
Investment thesis
Pre-seed to Series A deeptech and digital ventures for a post-carbon Europe: energy transition and grid robustness, industrial decarbonisation and new materials, agritech and food transition, AI as a transition enabler; principles of material realism, European strategic autonomy, long-term productive capacity and democratic compatibility (no weapons). Around ten lead investments a year; SPV structures with no fixed exit date.
